Naming of THINGS

This article was designed to be interactive (i.e solicit your interaction), please see

Note: please leave me a comment if you can think of anther example helping me to extend the list

* We perceive NAMING (WORDS) as a powerful and magical act, which gives status and reference independent of its function, and we seem to tame nature by NAMING animate and inanimate THINGS. [1] [2] It seems the Expression “…ipso nomen res ipsa – the NAME itself is the THING…

  • Insightful aircraft NAMES

Spitfire” – did exactly that in WWII, “Hurricane” – cause devastation in WWII, “Fokker” – formidable competitor in WWII, “Challenger” blew up on launch – seems to challenge the universe with a NAME is not a good idea.

Note: please leave me a comment if you can think of anther example helping me to extend the list

  • Given NAMES (etymology), NAMES changed to nickNAMES – numerology, heckling.

** Certain people’s surnames and nicknames aptly represent them well. This seems to be true across cultures e.g., “Dick“.
* A (+٢٠٠٥) study suggests that women with “hot” NAMES are considered sexier e.g., “Norma” became “Marilyn Monroe” and “sexy” sounding NAMES like “Britney, Kimmi, Jasmine” make men seem to think they are better in bed than being called “Gertrude, Miriam or Hilda“. How we feel depends on how we are perceived. When women are treated like they are “hot” they seem to become “hot” while this seem not to be true of men. It seems that the Expression “…he that has an ill NAME is ½ hanged…” is true irrespective of gender.

  • Predestination

**NAMES that are given that seems indicative of predestination or destiny or programmatic, this African tradition seems to indicate the predestination of the bearer. e.g., Malidome Patrice Somè (friends of the strangers). The same seems to be prevalent in North American native Americans with descriptive NAMES such as “Sitting Bul“, “Running Wolf“, etc…

Note: please leave me a comment if you can think of anther example helping me to extend the list

  • Metaphor becomes Metaphorm

** Metaphors the use of a word or phrase denoting 1 kind of idea or object in place of another word or phrase for the purpose of suggesting a likeness between the two. Metaphors are living things which represent slices of the ”’truth”’ expressed in language (words) the ability to visualise our character in inanimate life-forms and the ability to change the nature of THINGS. When a metaphor is accepted as fact it enters mythology, but it seems that by NAMING it can take on reality in the real world in which it evolves to where the metaphor becomes metaphorm. E.g. he is a snake or the rock-of-Gibraltar.

  • Characther

** If there is only a whim of truth in the speculation that NAMES can influence attitude and character such as found in the astrological zodiac signs, sun signs and character association would it not be more prudent that we pay great attention to NAMING our children and should we not refrain from presumptuous character expectations from certain NAMES? The NAMING of a person still seems to be a formalised process (rite), beckoning control as institutionalized in all cultures. It seems the the rites of NAMING to an large extend although modernized remains a (Doctrina) [[Latin]]arcani diciplina“.
** The Ghanaian practice of spiritual naming like the [[Ashanti]]Kwadwo” (the calm born on Mondays) and [[Ashanti]]Kwaku” (misbehave on Thursdays) have significance as research indicated in Ghana that more [[Ashanti]]Kwaku” are jailed.

  • Power in the NAME of a THING

** Such as purported to be in the [[French]]de par le Roi” (in the NAME of the King), a G*d, the State, a power, in the secret names in magic; the power of NAMES in Convocation, Invocation by Adjuration or Supplication, Incantation [[Latin]]ex carmine sacro” (prayer from a sacred formula) either spoken or written. Utterance of the NAME of a malignant influence and its power is undone, by the NAME of a benevolent deity to destroy adversary. [[Latin]]voces magicae“, [[Latin]]Ephesia grammata“, [[Latin]] “Barbara onomata” (foreign names) [3], palindromes.
** Belief in the potency of a NAME inscribed on an amulet or even written on hard-boiled eggs and eaten, brings preternatural powers.

* Quote “…The basis of our reality is unseen and not understood, even with understanding we are unable to change our perception of our reality…” – Barry J.H. Groenewald – San George, Malta 12 February 2004.

  • Insightful theoretical mental constructs (NAMES):-

** atom, protons, electrons, neutrons, neutrino, leptons, hadrons, quarks and stitches (billion billion x smaller than proton) are not definitions of WHAT they are, but mathematical entities (theoretical construct) defined by what we THINK they are, as nobody has ever seen an atom (theoretical construct), we see a result of what we believe to be an atom! (theoretical construct). These UNSEEN THINGS seems to be the building blocks of our reality.

Note: please leave me a comment if you can think of anther example helping me to extend the list

  • Places NAMES

** Some seem indicative of the place itself or it history while others seem divination of its future such as the many “Dogtown“s in the USA and the “Springfield” theory which postulates that places with the NAME “Springfield” are linked to some locations somewhere in outer space (portals) and refer to some [[Science Mysteries]] [[Acro]] UFO landing sites.

Note: please leave me a comment if you can think of anther example helping me to extend the list

Wisdom and Knowledge

Having looked at “…Finding THINGS out?..”; “..Speak about THINGS we do not know?..”; “…Not Speaking about THINGS we know..” It follows that in some format or fashion we need to actually look at what we know, which can be no more than just a whispering of the status of Wisdom & Knowledge, and even in this banal attempt we find that something is WRONG, with some of our current basic assumptions about the accumulation of knowledge and the eventual translation into Wisdom.

* Wisdom seems to be more a moral than an intellectual quality, wisdom is the moral application of knowledge. The expression
- “…Scientia non est potentia, quae prologum potentia solidum est – knowledge is not power, but the prelude to power…” seems in conflict with the expression “…nam et ipsa scientia potestas – for knowledge itself is power…
* [[Italian]]sapienza” (wisdom) depends on the perception (intentional perception) of the audience.

…There was a king known for his wisdom & grace & was loved by his people. 1 night the fountain of which the whole land drunk was poisoned, that turned everyone who drank from it insane. Next morning except the King drank from the fountain & turned insane & after some hours there was revolt in the streets saying that the king has turned mad & needs to be dethroned as the land cannot be ruled by such a king. Upon hearing this the king decided he to will drink deeply from the fountain & did so. That night the land rejoiced greatly for somehow the king has regained his reason…

* Object of knowledge is an idea which exist in the mind; therefore, objects can exist only as objects of consciousness, the
([[Dictum]]) expression …esse est percipi – to be is to be seen…” appearance reality has metaphysical implications.

* If you are seen, do you exist?

* Appearance reality is reality & apparent reality cannot be shared without being culturally castrated.

* We can never be given knowledge, we can be stimulated to develop our own & those that do not remain ignorant. Expression “…simian simian est, etiamsi aurea gestet insignia – an ape remains an ape if you give him a golden ring…

* It is improbable to gain knowledge by reason or sense experience alone. Subject in general, not a particular subject, but the universal structure of subjects, is the element of reality. This universal subject, the transcendental self, is the precondition of knowledge of an objective world. Experience is fragmentary & contradictory. Apparent reality is a unified totality, which can be known through a unique & absolute, mystical experience. There is a sea of knowledge

(Socrates (-٤٦٩ to -٣٩٩) innate idea innate awareness of certain fundamental concepts, that need be (drawn out) the same principle supported by René Descarte)

that surrounds us (are within us) but we are perpetually bound by the chains of culturalisation, i.e., background, education & experience & the visible (appearance reality) intellect trap, narrowness of conscious & need to break out of the solipsism. The belief that the only thing somebody can be sure of is that they exists and that true knowledge of anything else is impossible

* Expression “…Credo ut intelligam – I believe in order that I may understand…

* We lack the conscious awareness (narrowness) of these innate ideas [1], which are present but not fully developed but as dispositions (virtualitès). We cannot expect to read the (Dictum) eternal laws of reason in the soul as in an open book. [2] The rationalised portion of the brain we perceive as the whole brain. It is the opinion that we utilise the whole brain, but scientific proof exists that there are more e.g., the abstracts of unconscious, the recognised intuition Emotion is reason, reason & emotion are not 2 separate things, in practise they are the same thing.

* Our “pons asinorum” – If we where able to investigate or interrogate those levels of the mind would we find amazing facts, knowledge & wisdom.

* Knowledge or wisdom per se, is never difficult, once explained we can easily ask the question “…why did we not think of that…”‘ or there is the feeling of “…I KNEW that, along!…” but have not gone through the effort of rationalizing it or verbalizing it. Once a piece of knowledge is found it is easily understood. knowledge itself is not found in understanding complexity, but in the simplification mechanism to simplify complexity, then knowledge becomes simplicity.

* If that feeling exists, was it not there along in the 1st place, blinded or obscured by our lack or inability to either concentrate (focus) on or actively think about it?

* Expression “…We grow too soon old & too late smart…” Wisdom comes with age, [[Portuguese]] Expression “…Se idade fosse igual a sabedoria, qualquer burro velho era Desembargador jubilado – If old age was the same as wisdom, every old ass (donkey) would be a celebrated Justice…
* [[French]] Expression “…le pain vient à qui les dents faillent – bread comes to those who lack teeth…” Expression “…The gods send nuts to those who have no teeth – of opportunities or pleasures which come too late to be enjoyed…” Expression “…Never too old to learn…“, but certainly Xpression “…Always too lazy or too boared to learn…” Expression “… Tamdiu discendum est, quamdiu nescias si proverbio credimus, quamdiu vivas – we must go on learning as long as we are ignorant…” or, if we believe the proverb, as long as we live.

* Seek wisdom to understand what is the non-understandable.

* The postulation is that there is a realm of knowledge intuition [[Acro]] (HSP) embedded wisdom in our memory that by actively exploring the issues & turning viewpoints, thinking outside the box, knowledge is discovered. Expression “…Felix qui potuit rerum cognoscere causas – He is fortunate who had been able to learn the causes of things…

* Everything is out there – ready to grasp – understand & internalize, it just needs active pursuit (exploratory knowledge) by growing through the experience. knowledge does not mean the capacity to understand everything, but the capacity to know the non-understandable (what we do not understand). It seems that there is proof that the way we perceive & reason is culturally coloured. There are fundamental differences in perception (intentional perception) & reasoning between Oriental & Western thought, underlining the concept of turning viewpoints may believe different insights or non-sights, which give rise not a [[Italian]] Expression “…logica e buoi paesi tuoi – logic & darkness (skin colour) from your own country…”

* Flip-flop logic switch on / off with no possibility for a 3rd option [[Latin]]…tertium non datur – there is no 3rd possibility…“, seems obsolete reasoning, time of the cultural brain has gone, as the brain (reasoning) demonstrates a certain level of plasticity that can adapt to different environments.

* Insight is the difference in understanding what is said & what is meant. Aha! moments sudden flashes of insight (illumination) occasionally come easily & occasionally never. Patterns of brain activity before they see a problem predict if they will solve it with or without a sudden flash of insight (illumination). Distinguishing between word meaning & ♥ meaning. To understand the meta message (the meaning behind the message) as key to exegesis. In relationships distinguish between connection versus control in which a balance between control & care need to be found.

*

To discover wisdom cut off the flow of information filtered singular reality (intentional perception) & to listen to your senses (sense impressions (phantasms) as wisdom is the flip side of complex gnosis.

*

* Quote – “...How much do we NOT know, that we should know & how much do we know that we should NOT?” – Barry J. H. Groenewald – Avenue des Champs-Élysées, Paris, France 12 November 1998

* Because we are limiting our experiences, perception (intentional perception) & logic that can be justified or rationalised IN ADVANCE of the actual knowledge acquisition? Expression “…Facilius per partes in cognitionem totius adducimur – We are more easily led part by part to an understanding of the whole….” or how much energy (vitality) do we waste in trying to understand the non-understandable? knowledge of the real world can be acquired by going out & looking at it, feeling it, tasting it, experiencing it, instead of just thinking about it. Exploratory knowledge is intuition empathy in slow motion is innate ideas interpreted.

* Expression “…Festina lente – celebrate / Make haste slowly…” Expression “…haste makes waste…” Expression “...Omnis festinatio est a diablo – Haste is from the devil (@ goat)” How much do we miss because we want to understand everything before its application becomes useful or required?

* To understand the theory, but never test the theory in practical experimental realisation or we discard the theory as it does not fit the norms (filters) of our cultured society (cultural consensual trance) & justified fear of being branded, isolated or perceived as strange, social castration. Expression “…Condemnant quod non intellegunt – They condemn because they do not understand…” Why do we not give ourselves the opportunity to EXPLORE & find out? How much of what we need to we do know well, but fail to apply?

* Structured knowledge saturation (education)

* Expression Bene “…legere saecla vincere – To read well is to master the ages…” Expression “...Intellectum valde amat – love the intellect strongly…” Expression “...Vita sine libris mors est’ – life without books is death…” are a (chaser) enhancer of wisdom or anodyne of wisdom (trance of tuition). Expression “…Aureum animi et corpus medicamentum – The golden medicine of body & soul…” A realm is left unexplored & untouched, the acquisition of knowledge through some form of exploratory knowledge acquisition e.g. illumination by dimethyltryptamine [[Acro]] (DMT) experimentation. Expression “…Nil actum reputa si quid superest agendum – do not consider that anything has been done if anything is left to be done…

* Saturation education is as far from knowledge as the reality of a bookworm.

Closes to bookworm are [[Latin]]xestobium rufovillosum” (deathwatch beetle) or the [[Latin]]anobium punctatum” (furniture beetle).

* Quote – “…Libraries hold information, our senses hold gnosis our psyche produce intuitive wisdom…” – Barry J.H. Groenewald – Haifa, Israel 26 January 1995.

* The senses effect (sense impressions (phantasms) (subjective phenomena which lack physiological understanding) much as mood itself, e.g. music has since the beginning of time been acknowledge as having different influences & effects, from the swinging of the mood to as much as healing, without any universal scientific acceptable theory or reason why these effects occur. The influences are fact & are not debated, but the reason remains a mystery. Something that the scientific fable skeptics (skepticism) (critic). Aspects e.g., astrology, therapeutic [[touch]] (healers) & numerology just because it works but cannot be described by science are declared a pragmatic fallacy, which is per se a scientific fable.

* E.g., anaesthesia remains (+٢٠٠٤) a mystery, with its own paradoxes, it has a significant contribution to relieve pain & is a respected medical profession! Knowing the music effect, by noting the music & in laymen’s terms, it results. The result is that at any given time in the future when we want to change mood, we need for 30sec concentrate (focus) on the chosen music & once the concentration (focus) wanders off (narrowness) the mood has swung. We can actively use the effects of music to change the state of mood. Wilful act is trying to concentrate (focus) (narrowness) on the music, the mood change happens automatically. Same holds true for Hypnosis (+١٧٨٤) in use by psychologists & we cannot even describe least understand what it is. “Euterpe” (giver of pleasure) “Volupia” (goddess of pleasure). Not of the components (irrational application) could be rationalised the effects are real, application useful & powerful in everyday life. Think of ways & means to explore experience or test the fundamentals of personal understanding. Reflect & design your own [[Latin]]pons asinorum” tests & apply before making any conclusions on knowledge & wisdom.

* Expression “…Malum consilium quod mutari non potest – It is a bad plan that cannot be changed…

* The intuition dilemma requires a choice to either remain within the science domain or to go to your ♥ & psyche & bring wisdom.

* Wisdom is within itself a shadowy war of personal morality. The problem is not the acquisition of knowledge but the associative application thereof. We learn through experience & remember through association; hence mythology & biblical stories are instruments of remembering learning.

* Your emotion defines how your passion & hypostasis will fuel you.

* We should rightfully expect that the quest for knowledge should serve a specific purpose, the ultimate personal purpose to be happy, no-one is ever taught this knowledge, there is no “happiness 101” or “elementary unhappiness 101, dejection or pleasure for beginners” everyone is assumed to acquire this profound knowledge by themselves. Metaphor bubbly used many times to describe our ideal condition, but it is dust & other filth that create the bubbles in champagne. Could it be the same filth that creates our bubbly like condition.?

* Quote – “…Logic translate what intuition already knows. Intuition is given in equality to all, it is not acquired, only allowed to be heard…” – Barry J.H. Groenewald – Madrid, Spain – 28 June 2002.

Not Speaking about THINGS we know

Although languages seems sufficiently complex to transmit the totality of any culture, and flexible enough to expand its vocabulary & structure, as the culture of society becomes more complex, there still seems in any culture a laguna between what we express and what we should articulated but choose to remain silent on.

Words are >spoken thoughts, which create >feelings, which >motivate action, which create >habit which create >character, which create >destiny ((expression “…consuetudinis vis magna est (the power of habit is great))…”, that is IF we speak up (articulate)!

What about the endless “THINGS” we see and do for which we prefer to remain silent?. “…Peccatum tacituritatis (sin of silence)…” where we seem to have lost our ability to speak at or have voluntary aphasia preferring not to speak about things inherent in our behaviour.

I am not referring to the conflict between chthonic nature & intellect, the classical dilemma of cognitive dissonance, the …pretium scientiae (knowledge pain)….” , but our silence on terrible human behaviour. That behaviour and that silence that not even the worst media care to air.!

We seems to either not posses the vocabulary & remain silent
* – UNSPEAKABLE WORDS, or
the behaviour is far removed from the “bones mores” that the language exist but the emotion becomes an
* – UNSPEAKABLE EMOTION.

For both UNSPEAKABLE reasons we remain silent & trapped in our pretence world of escaping reality or not wanting to face reality, both conditions seems to suffocate our passion. The expression “….I do not have words…”, at times seems to be true.

Even listing those conditions in this article is impossible to articulate as most of these conditions are at the same time also cultural taboo’s, and by listing them would just infuriate. It seems we can not even write about our inability at times to articulate. This tells us more about our psychological condition than it tells us about language and semantics.

Words can shift our mental & emotional state, if we articulate, so as long as we do not articulate (remains silent) the behaviour will continue, as if we know & want that particular condition to continue, else we would have been enraged and expressed our disgust, but our acceptance in silence could be an expression of what we know we partially are.

This particular “human condition” is not unique as in general the same denial tendencies are found in within the realm of science, in which at times we have educated non-sights agnosia (lack of knowledge or inability to interpret sensory information) that diminish man by accepting scientific fable. Science at times has severe alexia, which leaves some in a state of akinesia, or apraxia, & agraphia & aphasia.

The expression “…sticks & stones will hurt my bones but words will never harm me…” seems to be wrong as the opposite is true that you will recover from physical wounds, easily but from word abuse difficult, so my new Xpression “…Sticks & stones will hurt my bones, but words mortally harm me…” seems more closer to reality.

Words can shift our mental & emotional state. The Word-effect on the brain seems to be a sort of self-hypnosis, with immense power to program both positive & negative. By understanding that if we articulate we change, we maintain man within the realm of “monster”. As Galileo Galilei removed man from the centre of the universe. Darwin removed man (partly) from the animal kingdom. Freud showed that man’s rationality is an illusion, it seems man need to maintain a part monster.!

* Could it be that we remain silent because we want to maintain this “monster” behaviour.?
* Could it be that we remain silent because we simply do not have the ability to articulate certain conditions?

THINGS we call THINGS, that collect us!

* It seems that the expression “…all that glitters is not gold…” might not be a valid description of reality after all, and maybe my new Xpression “…Collect all that glitters, because it is emotional gold…” might hold more truth.

* Our magpie impulse is to reach for & amp; react to shiny things we collect. These things might not carry the same $ value as gold, BUT it is true that it carries its value in emotional gold & psychological currency.

These things we collect are natural objects that get picked out because they are eye-catching. We believe we pick them out, while it could be that they catch us!! (entice, move us) and maybe the expression “…things catch the eye…” is literally true, and maybe my new Xpression “…Things that catch the eye, have caught your heart or mind…”, could be more true. They caught YOU not you them.

What are these things?
** Fossils,
** Teeth (Shark, leopard, crocodile teeth,
** Feathers,
** Stones,
** Pieces of Leather,
** Sea Shells,
** Drift wood
** Roots of tries
** Seeds and pods of trees
** Animal bones and horns
** Birds eggs
* Just look around your home and jewelery box and see how many of these “things” are in your home.

* These “things” have a value (the capacity to move us), and BECOMES OUR THINGS only the moment it is noticed by US. The act of our choice by picking it up, sets the seal on their special quality, before this point they are normal inanimate objects, with no intrinsic value or practical utility.

Can we define what these “things” are?
A “thing” is a “thing” with meaning, a (mind thing) something that answers to:
- our unspeakable (undefined) need,
- unspeakable (undefined) inspiration &
- our unformulated (undefined) thought,

Can we classify these “things”
* Pseudo “things” – Commercial souvenirs, they are cheap & glittery.
* Neo-things – Manufactured “natural” items of jewellery.
* Super-things – objects given value which is independent from their substance or appeal. E.g.,
** Bali beads & shells.
* Social-things – Things which come into being as a result of recognition shared by a number of people who treat the object as it were alive & resulting in a behaviour which is independent of their substance nomadic life of property. E.g.,
** Smaller currency units (dimes, pennies).
** Piece of furniture thrown away, that keeps on surviving in the homes of friends or family.
* Monopolised things – Some magical things dedicated to a given end or fulfilment. E.g.,
** Talisman magical things E.g., a stone or jewel, believed to give magical powers.
** Amulet E.g., Italian “cornuto” (Lucky jewellery:a piece of jewellery to provide protection against evil, injury, disease or bad luck. Wear a rabbits foot.
** Wedding rings it has immense power in the symbol, but is it only in the symbol or is there some sort of transference?
There are many stories of rings lost & fishes caught containing the ring. The flamen dailis was not allowed to wear a ring that was not cut through & empty of jewels.
* Is Lord of the rings really so far from reality?

Religious things I leave OUT hence I create the material for even more religious conflict.!

Things we interact with:
** touch wood (because of the old tradition of tree gods?),
** Italian “tocca ferro” (touch iron).
** Break a leg, Italian “in bocca lupo” (in the mouth of a wolf?),
** Good luck Italian “in culo di balena” (in the backside of a wale?),
** Black cat cross in the road,
** Not pass under a ladder,
** Spill of salt,
** Sleep with a piece of wedding cake under your pillow.
** To not open an umbrella in the home,
** Crossing forks,
And yet we like to believe it has no effect on US,
BUT…..
Just in case……! Why is it that so many have to do with so inanimate “things”?

Is there a Life in inanimate “things” and what is the purpose of these inanimate “things” that seem to collect us, not We them.?

Speak about THINGS we do not know?

We seem to have the ability to choose discussions about things we know nothing, and seem ill prepared to speak about things we are supposed to know.

Could it be for the same reason that we are genetically

and only the few have the ability to at least "remember" previous discussions and buildup a small knowledge base.

The "THINGS" we are supposed to know, are "things" like

  •  night dreams – we all have them, but no-one knows what they are
  •  day dreams – we all have them, but would rather die than speak about them, while day dreams are powerful fountains of passion.
  •  love – we all say we have it, but no-one knows what it is (except maybe Helen Fisher)
  •  hate – we all know we should avoid it, but we all do it, sooner or later…!
** (If it is such a "bad" universal trait, why did "Darwinian evolution" not yet taken care of it like it should have done for a number of other issues as well [1])
  • fire – we use it, but know little of it.
  •  water – is US and yet our average understanding of it is very little
  •  wind – mostly speak about it but understand very little of it.

* the list goes on….you get it……. (if you have another example please let me know in Comments so I can add it in – Thanks)

  • The creation secrets (weather) earth, wind, water, fire, earth/stone strangely seems to be our first choice of discussion. Paradoxically these elements discussed individually seems to have little effect on us, rather we believe that speaking about the weather could change the weather, or simply change our feeling about the weather, or connect us to a stranger.
  • The Stone Age never ended, we just do not want to speak out about "things we know" that stone (planets included) profoundly influence us. There is abundance of proof that inorganic substances, the genetics of earth, and of the entire cosmos, influence us psychologically & physiologically, and yet we choose not to speak about it, because we know so little of it.

Religion and faith by definition is excluded from this discussion.

Should we discuss these "things" we are supposed to know, but do not know?

** If we focus on "things we do NOT know" we could create a profound renaissance curiosity, breaking the current paradigm of only getting & giving recognition for the things we know.
** Changing the educational process of producing graduated mechanized mammals with little sense of awe & wonder of life & without sustainable vitality, rendering us less effective leaders & poor innovators, which focus on the difference of behavior instead of similarity of a common objective – LIFE & the AWESOME WONDER and PLEASURE of it! .

* We require innovation & creativity as never before.

Much of our behaviour:

  • we do not speak about,
  • do not understand &
  • it does not make sense,
    BUT

* it is this specific BEHAVIOUR that determine the future, more than food or energy.

Much of the "things we know" presently requires a major Existence Shift to create an exhilarating future.

* Quote – "…We see things that are NOT there & do not see the things that ARE there. We try to be someone who we CANNOT be & we do not try to be the someone who we ARE…" – Barry J.H. Groenewald – Milan, Italy 10 February 2003.

THINGS I like but do not know why?

  • There is specifically no order in this list.
    • Why do we always land up with the 6 step plan, 10 things and 12 etc..?
    • Who knows how long this list will grow……?
    • Why do we always need a reason (question)?

My list of Answers to which I have no Questions

  1. to hit the road and go walkabout, anywhere for just enough time (1h, 1d, 1w, 1m, 1y ) ….?
  2. the jingle that impacted my Life …” You can stay as your are for the rest of your life or you can change to mainstay…” I still shout it whenever any storm hits, and fear turn to enjoyment…….!
  3. to get away from it all, but not from anything especially luxury…! (seemingly paradoxical, but not, it’s and art)
  4. to stare at tropical fishes in a fish tank…?
  5. to wake up at 05:00 have a coffee to go back to sleep…………?

TO COMPLETE THIS LIST WHEN I FEEL LIKE IT, AND IT IS NOT NOW.!!!

Finding THINGS out?

Why do we need to find things out?
Science is the expression of the certainty of nature, but doubt & uncertainty is the foundation of the scientist, while it seems that in general science is considered absolute & with no uncertainty.

Could this paradoxical untruth of what we perceive science to be, be the sublime motivation that we know it is not true and so we need to search more and more?

  • It seems science (the body of knowledge of things found out) is about:-
    • finding things out,
    • the new thing that can be done with what is found,
    • the doing of new things found out (technology).

The consequence of science is the
* application or the power to do things (refers to the thing [1]
not to use of the thing [2].

* FLASHPOINT: We like increased production, but too automation becomes threatening, we advance in fighting bacteria & at the same time create bio-chemical warfare. The same key that open the gates of heaven open the gates of hell. The decision which gate to open is not a decision of science but a decision of man.

What motivates us to finding things out?
Necessity
* There is ample evidence to show that necessity as a responds to environmental factors is a driver for invention but utility & opportunity alone is NOT enough to explain the diversity & novelty of the various inventions

Curiosity
* It seems that is not so much man the maker Latin homo faber (man who creates things) but man the Latin homo ludens (player) which is responsible for major creative development.

Mind Seeds
* Dream products / Mind seeds spring up everywhere at the same because we share the same dream-material & dreamtime

It seems there is a direct correlation between our neophilia [3] & dopamine which create the desire for novelty.
———–
[1] power to make things = science.
[2] power to use the thing = behaviour, which is morality for the use of good or evil.
[3] obsession with everything that is new, strange, rare & novelty
